All of the tanks used on Standard Oil of California's narrow gauge tank cars most likely came from early standard gauge cars. If you study photos of the different SOCal cars no two are exactly alike. In comparing the builders photo of SV 99 to the photos of the tank of McEwen, there is nothing to say it is not the same tank. The tank has the right number courses and the seams are in the right places. The location of the handrails and hand grabs are also the same.
