Russ I couldn't get the link to work (Old browser), but was worried about you out there. I have been to Ventura a couple of times (1989 chasing the Daylight), and 1995 doing our 2nd America By Rail video. I shot the opening shot in that area where you can see the ocean near Carpenteria, and another one down closer to Ventura. I was in an oil company (got permission) that wound up the hillside. A guy my daughter used to date lives near Carpentria, and they are close to the fires as well, and haven't heard what happened there. We see all the fire stuff on the National News each night.
