Is your question retricted to the narrow gauge?
If not, there was a training camp for moutain troops at Pando on the Tennessee Pass line. Doubtless were other, unrelated, miltary moves on the standard gauge lines also.
Other than inductees headed for boot camp, don't know of anything on the narrow gauge lines.
