I goofed on that last post, I was talking about the W.L.Holeman Car Company, not J.S. Hammond. which was also in San Francisco between about 1883 and 1907. They build horse cars, cable cars and some electric cars.
Some of their narrow gauge output (42") are still running on the Californa Street Cable Railway of the SF Muni.
