It's been busted for ages, Andrew -

I have had issues with the advanced retarded 'Search' ever since the NGDF moved to this new format two or three years ago – it hangs up on ANY search key that contains numbers or special characters, and finds nothing at all.  And once it has hung, you need to back out of the search entirely and start over by re-invoking the search and then entering a new search key that does NOT contain ANY special characters OR numbers.

I used to be able to easily find all previous posts containing a specific photo, since I label them YYMMDD+roll+frame-# (an example being '680828b11' - 11th slide on second roll taken 08/28/68.)   Searching for "680828b11, NGDF, All Dates" doesn't work any more, so I have to try to remember what I might have written about the shot when I posted it.  In this case I remembered "slippery" and found several previous posts – including [ngdiscussion.net] – but most of the time I have to give up and just post the photo again instead of providing a link to the previous post and whatever (ir)relevant information it might contain.
