Hi John
Here is a photo of hat badges from the book Ride the Sandy River Railroad, as you can see the lettering is different than yours.
Now I am not referring that yours is either Fake or Real, just that the ones in the book Sandy River and Rangely Lakes is spelled out.
But also that does not mean that the railroad could have cut back on labeling their hat badges?
I would suggest that maybe you post the same thing on W.W.&F Discussion.forum [forum.wwfry.org] Pat
