There were at least two tank cars from the N-C-O that United Commercial bought and then resold. I have notes that I transcribed from the N-C-O accounting records in the collection of CSRM. The N-C-O (SP) had to make an adjustment to the price.United Commercial paid, It seems that the flat cars with the ng tank cars were weighed to determine the freight charges. United Commercial was upset because one tank car was shipped full of water instead of empty -- they did not like paying for the extra weight of the water!
I'd have to pull my notes to find out if the car numbers, etc. are listed on the journal entry sheet.
