About which there was a great one- or two-part article in Model Railroader back when I was a young model railroader – several decades ago – waaay to long ago to remember which issue(s), and unfortunately doing a search for "easements" found a long list of references to the legal kind of easement, not the engineering kind of easing into a curve and/or superelevation . . .
