Services Monday

June 24, 2000 08:03AM
Services are being held Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic church at 10 am(I think ,have to check again with Ray Loose ,who will be a pallbearer) Mike ,you worked with him a lot .You are right, Bill was one of only a few engineers I ever worked for that really ran the engine for the firemen .That was part of his good nature . You felt safe with Bill , and you could not say that for some engineers ! He was funny and talkative ,and days were easy to pass in the cab with Bill . He also had a great working knowledge of railroading ,and consequently he was one engineer that had few breakdowns on his locomotives . He set a fine example that I followed as an engineer ,especially in how I treat the men who work with me .
