Thanks all for the info. It all makes sense now. I remember seeing lots of shots with Big Horn Peak in my time riding the cab of 489. Of course we were westbound thus the camera was too. This spot is a good catch, to be high enough to see the peak, yet still be going into the sun for good light. The magic of the C&TS. Good planning and brush clearing for sure. I like this whole area and would enjoy it if I could ever find it by vehicle. Someday will have to get a guide I guess. Would enjoy just watching a train make the whole run through the loops upgrade-Westbound of course.
