While she doesn't look native, she has her own history, and I know there's been discussion regarding honoring that history (although that cow catcher...whew!). I don't know what native C&S steam could have been procured (although it's worth dreaming about having #9 visit Como under steam someday). I was thinking about how to make it fit in more, and I was wondering if maybe going with the original C&S lettering scheme (big number on the tender, C&S logo on the cab) might be a way to do it such that on the one hand it has a sense of belonging but on the other it won't look quite as strange on a foreign engine as the latter day C&S lettering scheme. Dunno...it's a tough one. I think Klondike Kate is a very nice looking locomotive. That said, a McConnell stack might make her look a little more at home...
