That's disappointing. I wonder how many D&SNG riders would have given up their lunch in Silverton to ride another train, though...and one without steam...just to get back on the D&SNG for another few hours. Railfans like us would have eaten it up, but I don't know about the general public.

Most of their rail had come from Ridgway where they'd been denied permission to extend their track. I wonder if that will be revisited at some point, especially with an operating replica of RGS #36.
