Rotary OM was based in Chama after the D&RGW got Rotary OY in 23. OM was setup to be connected to the shop boiler so that it was kept hot all the time during the winter months. This was important as OM was the only one of the four rotaries that was kept outside. ON, OO, and OY were kept inside the roundhouses at Salida, Gunnison, and Alamosa. That is one reason, I guess, that there are not more photos of them. Dick Kindg got a color shot of a red OY in Chama in 41 because it was still in the yards after the season ended and had not been taken back to Alamosa.
