This shot was a couple of slides further down the roll. Russ got this from the roof of the then-recently restored tank at Cresco. Don't try this shot at home kiddies.
I shot some 8mm movies from there a few days before and it was an awsome shot. But the whole tank shook as the train blasted past - too the point that I started to slide around on the newly oiled shake roof. I began to think I was going to slide off the roof - and its a LONG way down. I think Russ had his legs wrapped around the finial on tope of the tank. George was running I was firing creating the example of how to badly fire the 489.
