Earl,
I really enjoyed your story. I rode the C&TS a lot in the first decade and a half of operation so, perhaps, rode in a train on which you were an engineer. You mentioned Gary Getman. Do you know what happened to him? I saw Gary at the Seattle TRAIN convention (early 90s?)and he had just left the Black Hills Central, vowing not to return to the railroad business. He and I hung out a lot at TRAIN conventions back then when he was working for the LK&P. I was just wondering what happend to him since.
