Jim The SVRy ran a total of 80 miles from Baker City to Prairie City in its longest run. At the end, it ran from Baker City to Bates, about50 or so miles. A dual guage arrangement in Baker was still in place until the 60's. As Brian noted, our web page is pretty nice, and will answer most of your questions.The line served Sumpter, then went over Larch Mt to Prairie City. The drive from Anthony Lakes to Sumpter Valley is one of the prettiest in Baker county. Ron
