The first time that I visited CATS, a buddy & I rode the train & then chased it the next day out of Chama. I had him drop me off @ the road crossing below Coxo. I walked the ROW from there to Cumbres & found a unique spot to shoot the uphill train on the way. My friend parked his truck @ Cumbres & hiked partway down the hill to meet me. It was really worth the time & I'm glad that I did it. You might consider that sometime too.
