I happened upon this delightful new video that may be of interest: a driver's eye view on a down train on the Ffestiniog Railway in Wales (the mother of all narrow gauge), showing the whole line from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog (13.5 miles) in real time. The engine is Fairlie No. 10, 'Merddin Emrys', with the camera apparently mounted on the tank next to the smoke box.
