The second group of Class 35 engines (#'s 8-12, 1873) had the tender modification you're asking about when delivered, and also a larger firebox.
I really can't recall seeing a picture of a Class 25 or an earlier Class 35 with this style of tender.
That doesn't mean a lot as I have a brain like a steel trap. (rusty & full of mice)
