Good stuff John. Nothing like regular service steam. My brother Randy shot stuff in 1970 in South America. We started to do a video on it, but he never got the script done so it sat dormant. He never did the Salta Line, but found out about it later. That was a gem for Argentina Steam. Liked those 4-8-2's. He did get a fair amount of Argentine steam however, at Pergameno(SP?) and elsewhere. The had a Amerail Pass and stayed 3 months. Plan was to rent a car, but my dads wallet got stolen early on in the trip. Luckily my brother had some cash and they were able to make it on that, and a loan from some nice locals. Later the one gal came to visit us in Ohio. Her name was Maria. I stupidly didn't go on the trip cause I was a college kid working for the summer and wanted to have the place to myself. After that I did some foreign trips but never to S. America.
Thanks for posting, and getting those shots. Some of the best around of that area.
