Back in 1996 the C&TS ran a goodly sized mixed train. Ok, it wasn't intended to simulate any historic operations, but it was big, requiring 484, 497 and 488 (mid train) to get it up the hill. And it was unashamedly mixed, being both a faux freight and genuine passenger operation.
As I recall, they did not stop at Cresco, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good place for a photo.
