Re: A "Eureka" story

The homecoming was actually at Eureka, Nevada at their rodeo grounds. We built a couple thousand feet of track to run Eureka on. It was a great event and one of the best attended events in Eureka Nevada's recent history. There isn't much left at Palisade these days and I doubt many people could have found it had we held the homecoming there.

Someday I will recount our visit. It was truly memorable and well attended. I remember the headline of the "Reese River Reveille" that had a front page picture of the locomotive with a banner headline "WELCOME HOME #4", along with several pages of pictures and history of the locomotive and the E&P.
