The problem is Norfolk Southern cannot be depended upon to make the set outs of cars down in Leaman Place at a particular time. Right now, they have a problem just getting them there on the correct day. That makes doing any kind of mixed passenger/freight run just about impossible to predict. Sometime back the cars were regularly showing up in the middle of the night, which meant an early morning mixed train run was doable.

The other day, NS showed cars delivered to Leaman Place, the crew went down there, no cars, sat around a while, still no cars. A call to NS revealed the cars had never left Lancaster, so they went back empty handed......
