We got (or had depending on the traction motors) engine of iron!!!
Over here at the D&S we have a rail mounted front loader (speed rail???) to take care of the snow and up around Silverton bulldozers are often used if the slides are too deep. I know the C&T is always broke but such a front loader seems more economical than busting the drifts with a fragile engine twenty feet at a time....And such a front loader may be handy other places too where getting a wheeled vehicle in would be a pain.
Or since it was an extraordinary year for snow pack maybe such expenditures aren't necessary
