For me, the classic example was a fellow who called to buy Olympic Games here in Atlanta in 1996. The fellow said he was from New Mexico. The person on the ACOG (Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games) end of the line said they needed to call the international toll free number.

It went viral here in Atlanta about the employees not even knowing all the states of the USA. I think it was also well remarked in New Mexico and Nationally.
