Nope I'll go for the red sandstone cliffs of New Mexico. Mind you I have a straight 24 hours of trains in Holbrook (check out the Big E at trainvideos.com for such insanity), stayed at the wigwams & La Posada and every junky motel in Flagg, camped beside El Diablo and the Arizona Divide and about three straight days on the Crookston Cutoff, Seligman while the depot was still standing Crozier Canyon (but not the tunnels, not yet anyway) and swatting gnats underneath the very bridge you photographed. Only shade for about a hundred miles. Now Kingman has restored their station VERY nicely and I've had some good meatloaf as well as a great milkshake at a diner downtown. So I've been around AAA-ZZZ very purty, the usual superb show that the Santa Fe (sorry...I just can't help myself) puts on. Second only to NM....
My attitude is not helped by the fact that EVERY time I've been in AZ there is ALWAYS a AZ Highway Patrol on my ass obviously looking for some reason, ANY reason to pull me over & sic the dog on my truck. Same with Nebraska too. Comes with the green & white license plates I reckon. In NM nobody cares unless you have drunkenly plowed into a van on I 40 killing six. Looks bad as you already have about six dwi's.
