Geogetown Boulder and Leadville was intended to link Georgetown to Leadville but it would have the C&S line haul and the failure of the Atlantic and Pacific tunnel (IIRC) killed the project. IIRC it was a UP backed idea.

Yes the car was owned by the Ashby's.

In 1974, 1020 resided in Central City and was purchased from the D&RGW scrappers (Three Foot Rails, 1974).

I posted the entire booklet Three Foot Rails here several months back. Good booklet on the Ashby's operations. between 1968 and 1973 (or so).

FYI, I posted several photos of my 1984 visit to Silver Plume, one photo has one of the Westside shays lettered spelled out for the GB&L.
