I have ;many fond memories of Knight Foundry. Many of the iron castings for Eureka were done there by Karl Borg (sp?) As I remember, Karl retired from Lockheed as an engineer and then ran the foundry in retirement. So we always had lots to talk about.....locomotives andairplanes The Knight foundry was perfect for my project because Eureka and the foundry t were from 1875 and did things in the old fashion way. Sort of like keeping the early manufacturing heritage alive for a machine that was built when the Knight Foundry was founded. Anyway.....glad to hear it is still around.
