I recall seeing one that was probably built back in the days of steam, years back at the Nevada Northern. I went there during their off season to purchase some air brake parts that they had in surplus for the Sumpter Valley. This was during the time Jack Anderson was there. After completing our transaction, he handed me a ring of keys and said something like "I am thinking you'd like to look around a bit". That was an understatement. I had most of a day to poke around and still did not explore every building on site. Anyway, I recall they had what I assume was a home built out fit that consisted of an air reservoir mounted on an old fashioned hand truck with a G6 brake valve and feed valve. I imagine it had gauges, but it has been too long ago to recall exactly. I assume that the reservoir held enough air at shop pressure to charge a single car so it could be tested, or perhaps they ran an air hose from shop air to the reservoir as I imagine air was available at many locations around the yard.
