Kevin's photo perfectly illustrates the various colors of planished iron, or whatever you wish to call it. In the areas where there is no sky reflecting, it shows as black, but where it reflects the sky it's a nice light blue. In the trees it probably looks green. That shows why there is no "right" color when trying to replicate "Russia iron" on a model.
