For what it is worth from my experience moving such things;

A complete 3000 series boxcar weighs right around 11 tons / 22,000 lbs

The trucks weigh about a ton and a half each, so a car minus just its trucks (but still possessing couplers, draft gear, brake system etc) would weigh about 8 tons / 16,000 lbs

A car body stripped of its couplers, draft gear, brake system etc weighs about 5 tons / 10,000 lbs
