We've talked about "what-if" building new steam for the tourist market. There is a thread over on RyPN discussing this again. Someone posted about building a scaled down K28 and a couple of other narrow gauge items so you could sit
in the cab.
That is common here also with (for example) the Terry Miller 15" gauge stuff.
Narrow gauge (36") is typically thought of 3/4ths standard gauge. The K37s are actually SG consol boilers on a NG frame.
Thought - has anyone thought of building a NG steamer scaling up by 33% so the proportions of say a K28 are the same but can run on 56.5" gauge? It would have a BIG cab.
