I think there would be some serious width loading gauge issues. IIRC the DRGW had a fairly wide loading gauge for narrow gauge so if you scaled a K-series up there would be no place to run it. In addition the tipping safety risks of being top heavy increase (mass increases as the cube of the size, so a 33% upscale will weigh about 2.35 times as much).
