Re: List of D&RGW excursions 1947-1966

Of the Alamosa-based engineers listed Ken Faucette was the senior hoghead with a 10-13-1943 fireman's date and a 1-11-1955 engineers' date. John Lira was hired as a fireman on 9-2-1948 and promoted on 7-2-1957. Carl Jack's fireman's date was 10-21-1952 with an engineer's date of 5-5-1959.
The 1967 list, from the R.W. Richardson Library at the Colorado Railroad Museum shows the value of board position. Edgar Dunn was hired only a month before Faucette but since he was one slot ahead of Faucette he was promoted to engineer seven years sooner.
Fireman dates were 9-21-1954 for Lee Otteson, 5-23-1957 for Gayle Cunningham,, 8-29-1957 for Andy Payne, 11-26-1957 for Jim Shawcroft, 7-7-1965 for Doug Rathjen and 6-6-1966 for Robin Yates. His trip must have been one his first with a scoop.
