Funny thing is, about a week ago in an update by their curator at the WMSR, they stated they are in "no rush" or "hurry" to complete the 1309 because they want to get the "job right the first time". I can't blame them with saying that, but now they are promising a first public excursion up the mountain on July 1st?
I would really hate to buy a premium priced ticket there and show up at the WMSR to only find out they aren't pulling any of the July 1st trips with steam as promised. Just sayin'.
In the end its your call, but I highly recommend, having dealt first hand with their operation, calling ahead in late June to make sure with the railroad that the steam trips are occurring. With the way they run things its your only bet to ensure you get what you are paying for.
