I don't know the answer to your question, but her sister engine Waimanalo No. 3 (formerly belonging to Gerald Best, now in the Smithsonian collection and on loan to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania) carries a peculiar rectangular builder's plate that is entirely unlike any other Baldwin example I've seen. I'm not sure if it's original or not.
