The EBT side dump hopper has been restored since the photos. This was one of the original 1912 Pressed Steel Car Co hoppers, the EBT's first steel hoppers. Supposedly the cars proved to be top heavy when loaded, so the EBT rebuilt them for company service. A number were given side dump doors, and one has flat bottom dump doors. This car also had side wings, sort of like a Jordan spreader, that could be attached and used to profile the ballast. Its also one of the few remaining EBT cars with arch bar trucks. A unique hopper on a road that rostered several hundred.
