Re: Caboose and rolling stock on CO-149 near Lake City?

I don't know all the details either, but I've heard he started out with the Rio Grande standard gauge caboose which was in the Westcliff, Colorado area for a long time.
This person contacted me several years ago wanting to know how to find what the caboose number was. I don't know if he ever did or not. He knew at one time I had several railroad cars and he said that’s what his plan was. Both he and his wife are rail fans.
The narrow gauge boxcar came from somewhere around Salida and I have no idea about the gon.....maybe from the Durango auction.
I believe the metal boxcar was on the property when he bought it.
