Interesting thought, Rich -
But SFAIK, Dallas Divide is not exactly a major tourist destination, and IIRC it's more than just a couple of miles from Ridgway to the summit - including a significant highway crossing a mile or two before the top.
What facilities did the RGS have at Dallas, other than a wye? (A good thing to have, if the tracks ever do get that far. Would the tail have to cross the highway?)

p.s. Maybe it's time to resurrect that three- or four-way loco swap mentioned a couple of weeks ago, with #464 (repainted as RGS #455) ending up at the museum in Ridgway
