Tahoe, Trout Creek & Pacific was the short-lived operation at Lake Tahoe, which Scenic exited to concentrate on the C&TS. Both locomotives had come from Hawaii, but they were not both 2-4-2s.
Hawaiian Railroad Co. No. 5 was a Baldwin 2-4-2, which was acquired by Robert Keller, and was used on the TTC&P. It was shipped to the C&TS, but I believe it was never used there.
Kahului Railway No. 12, a Baldwin 2-6-2, was shipped to the mainland after the KRy suspended operations. In the 1970s it sat around the C&TS as a full scale kit and was never assembled on the C&TS. Someone else may have all the details, but as I recall, No. 12 had gone to the Midwest Central shop for rebuilding, and was sold to the folks developing the Silverwood amusement park north of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She ran for a few years, but was larger than needed, and the park also had ex Eureka - Nevada 7, a Porter 2-6-2. No. 12 was sold, and ended up at the Georgetown Loop for several years, then went back to the Midwest Central.
Cheers!
