Hi guys,
I do not speak for the CRRM in any official way, but I am a volunteer at the CRRM and Marks report is correct we are incredibly busy. As for the 493, we are told to be patient it will come eventually, after shipping arrangements are made and most likely not until after the two major fund raising events are over . As for the tunnel motor, word is it will go along the front fence to the right of the museum entrance as you enter from 44th. The CRRM track crews and earth moving equipment have been building up the berm along the fence in preparation for laying track there. It will very expensive to get done. Most likely not until next year. Mike is working very hard to make things happen. New leads have been added to the turntable and with the departure of the three GB&L cars, we now have a lot more space available for switching and other projects. Work on the Uintah 50 has been ongoing and will soon have the windows and doors completed which will allow it to be moved out of the roundhouse and worked on out side. This will make room for other projects. The latest steel rider car is 95% complete and we will be using it for the first time on the Day out withThomas fund raiser. Money and time are always an issue, but everyone is doing their best to get things done.
Come on out and visit if you can, lots of volunteers are around on Thursday and try to answer questions as best we can.
Bill
