The last time a Goose left the Museum was in 2001. Goose 2 ran during the D&S railfest that year. Fifteen years later Goose 7 will run on the C&TS. Does anyone realize the effort that was put into Goose 7 to run on the C&TS. Agreements, finances, transportation and not least the care and feeding of 7, allowing it to run reliably over Cumbres. Thanks to Al Blount and crew that made 7 seaworthy, Mike Spera for negotiations, Donald Tallman Executive Director CRRM, John Bush C&TS and Sonni for his urban assault vehicle providing transportation. Please ride behind 7 with it's screaming 261 CI Chevy engine. We decided not to add nitrous.
I drove Goose 2 on the Goose's first run into Silverton and am looking forward to 7's assault on Cumbres.
Kudos to everyone involved.
