What electrical equipment would be under the cars?
The lighting was daisy chained from car to car with the power source coming from the baggage car. No baggage car equipped with a generator means no electrical lighting.
The electrical conduit was on the car roofs. The shunt plugs were under the roof eaves in the vestibules. A shunt wire was used between cars. The Silver Vista is the only car that did not have the shunt plug under the roof eaves. Its shunt plug was on the end railings.
I did a lot of photographic research on this when I lit my G scale San Juan trainset.
