Man, that'd seem like a crushing loss to no longer see that passing by your house.
I can't fathom having a RR crossing in my own driveway, I used to have dreams as a kid of playing around my own (very rural) driveway of my childhood house and finding rails, or looking out the front window one Saturday morning (the cartoons were always on in that dream, oddly) and seeing a freight train heading parallel to the main road. It'd be impossible as I lived on a road that couldn't possibly have a track on it due to a ridge a couple hundred yards past my house, but I had those dreams for ages. Since I moved in my 20s, I stopped having them, oddly.
