A truly wonderful person Bob Stull was.
I had the privilege of first meeting Bob in Denver following the Colorado Springs NGConv in 1992. He was very occupied on his layout tour so noting our common Colorado Mining interest I left my card and was very surprised when Bob actually followed up on that contact in writing after I got home. Bob was very knowledgeable on the Clear Creek Mines and wanted to see if there was any information that he could assist with and invited me to his house on my next trip up.
Needless to say we became good friends, Bob liked to chide me over my accent which he likened to that of a "Limey" (his words), he always had the answer to my most vaguest questions at hand in some Mining industry publication hidden in his vast collection of such. It is without a doubt that I owe much to Bob and will be eternally greatful for having been the recipient of his vast knowledge, without that I could not have progressed through much of my research down under.
Farewell my Northern Friend!
