Several of us went to "Stull night" regularly. I used to run my Gilpin On2 Shay and train and others would run other visiting On3 power. When I worked at the 610 15th street Caboose Hobbies Stull had a standing order for every new On3 brass engine that came out. He always got the first one. Bobs trackwork was impeccable. One night a fully equalized K-27 derailed on a turnout and I thought Stull was going to have a heart attack. He was very proud of his track. John Robinson softened the blow by stating that maybe "super" K-27s couldn't walk on water after all. Everyone laughed and everyone moved on. Bob Stull was always a gracious host. Good memories. JP
