As a long time Caboose customer, I went up yesterday to see what was left, and help them get rid of some of that inventory...
Picked up a few kits for kitbash fodder and some Unitrack for a test track a friend of mine is building. They really have cleared out a lot already, but there's a lot left. 25% off makes for some actual bargains.
While their prices have always been quite healthy compared with some of the competition, it's really nice to have a store nearby that I can run to when I suddenly discover I have a weekend to myself and am missing something I need. I've been a happy customer for the fifteen years I've lived out here. I'd hate to see them go - hopefully they'll find an affordable space that allows them to continue. Even if I had to order online and then go pick it up from a front counter on a warehouse, that would be fine, though one of the reasons I'm willing to pay more is to be able to come in and look/touch things before buying.
