Rich: I just went out and remeasured. As it stands today there is about 100 feet of main track. Layout is double decked in the shape of a backwards G. We run a 4:1 clock with 20 mph maximum for passenger and 15 mph for freight. In the Black Canyon speeds are 10/15 mph for trains. Throw in mandatory water stops of 5 minutes each (Cedar Creek and Cimarron), registering train in Cimarron and stopping before descending the grade at Cerro Summit to set retainers; Passenger 5", freight from 5" to 15" depending on length. Works out well for what I want to represent. If I remember correctly during time trail is took about 14+/- real minutes to travel from one end to the other. Paul.
