No, the guy I am referring to worked as a teacher in Durango, I'm pretty sure.
He hired on the D&RGW in the Summmer for a few years back in the 1970's, and was so familiar with the line, like Woody, he knew exactly where the train was just from listening to tourist's comments like "did you see that little creek up there?", and he would point over his shoulder at a blank wall in car #126 and say that we were at Crazy Woman Creek or somewhere, and we always were.
Ron never worked for the D&RGW.
