It certainly is not my favorite spot in New Mexico: Mirage. Mirage has: 1. no water, 2. no trees, 3. very little rail service and no passenger service, and 4. the Rio Grande never came near Mirage,but one rail did and had a station, a store, and siding at one time.

Mirage is located between Deming and Hatch, if you go looking for it.
